How it is calculated

Theoretical phase = (target − boost − 0.6 × school) ÷ 0.4. Phase ≥ 4 and access ≥ 5 also apply; we show the highest required minimum.

A worked example

With school average 8, target 11 and boost 3, you need a phase average of 8.000. If the required minimum exceeds 10, the assumptions must change.

Before using your result

You choose the target. A previous cut-off is historical, not a promise. Extra contributions depend on valid exams and coefficients. This does not predict changes in places or demand.

How to enter reliable inputs

Pre-filled values are examples only. Replace every input and check its unit before calculating: a unit error can change the result substantially. Use decimals where needed and ensure you have not left a zero where a real value is required.

When comparing scenarios, change one input at a time and save both summaries. This shows which variable explains the difference. Downloaded summaries contain your inputs and results, but do not replace professional or official documentation.
